Brewery tour
This is a premium beer, but how is it made?
Schwarzbräu has been owned by the same family for generations. Since 1648, premium beers are brewed here in downtown Zusmarshausen.
The Swedes, who won the "Battle of Red Mountain" near Zusmarshausen at the end of the 30 years of war, celebrated their victory over the imperial troops in the brewery "Zum Grünen Baum" and literally drank all the barrels dry.
Learn more about our beers and the brewing process via a brewery tour. You can also experience one of the last malt houses in Germany that is still brewery owned and continues to operate. Here we prepare our own barley malt as needed.
